Also from Germany comes interest for the south-african motocross scene. The german press has noticed the website www.namibian-mx.com. The well-known magazine "motoX" contained a short article in it's june release.

Let's take a look at what has been achieved over the past years. Namibia was represented at the "AMU Africa Championships" and at the "AMU Southern African Championships", a national team was sent to Germany, and for ten years now, the "Inter-Series" (the biggest MX-series of its kind on the African continent) is hosted here. There is one thing however the Windhoek Moto Cross Club has neglected in the past, namely the recruitment of young budding MX-riders. The old comittees have to live with this accusation.

The Windhoek Moto Cross Club (WMCC) hosts its annual "Fun Day" at the Gallina Moto Cross Park on the 25th of March. This year, the family day takes place wholly in the name of the "WMCC-MX-development programme 2006", especially for 4-8 year old kids.

As you may be aware, the FIM has allocated the AMU wild card entries for the Grand Prix at Sun City this year. The AMU has decided to allocate 1 x entry for the MX1 Class and 1 x entry for the MX2 Class for every country affiliated to the AMU. Various conditions were stipulated to be adhered to when selecting the riders.
