Tanel Leok dedicates pole to Jan de Groot

A very hot Saturday gave the start to the seventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix of France, which is on this weekend at the Circuit du Puy de Poursay. An impressive Tanel Leok conquered his third seasonal pole by snatching it from home rider Sebastien Pourcel in the dieing seconds of the Qualifying session.

It is with great sadness that Kawasaki must announce that on the morning of the 4th June 2007 Kawasaki Racing Team Manager and Team Green bastion Jan de Groot passed away after succumbing to a serious illness which had hospitalized him for more than a week.

Yves Demaria wins home event in Brou

Frenchman Yves Demaria (FRA, Yamaha) was looking forward to this fifth round of the series in Brou, France, to make up some ground on series leader Sven Breugelmans (BEL, KTM).
On a wet track, the KTM mounted Belgian arrived second on the podium behind Demaria, winner of the event, who shortened up the gap in the Championship by five points.

Billy Mackenzie and Christophe Pourcel back to victory in Japan

In a warm and windy day, Sugo’s Sportsland played host to the four heats of this sixth FIM Motocross Grand Prix of 2007. 24000 spectators gathered in the Japanese venue for the only Oriental appearance of the series, that was won by Billy Mackenzie (GBR, Kawasaki) in the MX1 class, and Christophe Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki) in the MX2.
