Coppins and Cairoli begun their Title hunt
The season opener of the FIM Motocross World Championship got underway today, on the Eurocircuit at Valkenswaard, in front of 25.000 spectators. It was a breathtaking day for the fans, who witnessed a great Josh Coppins win the MX1 Grand Prix of Benelux, and an incredibly fast Antonio Cairoli dominate the MX2 GP. The track conditions were dry, and the weather was sunny.

Ken De Dycker clinches his maiden pole position
The reversed Eurocircuit at Valkenswaard (NED) was dry today, during the first day of action of the 2007 FIM Motocross World Championship. Weather conditions were sunny, and tomorrow it will be exactly the same. MX1 poleman Ken De Dycker (BEL, Honda) grasped his first pole position today, and will go for his first career win tomorrow. The MX2 qualifying races were won by 2006 MX2 World Champion Christophe Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki), and 2006 runner up Antonio Cairoli (ITA, Yamaha).

Suzuki MX1 set for Valkenswaard |
Team Suzuki will start the 2007 FIM MX1 World Championship with both of their riders, Kevin Strijbos and Steve Ramon - who finished second and third in 2006 - among the favourites for the title.
