Weather conditions were sunny, and tomorrow it will be exactly the same. MX1 poleman Ken De Dycker (BEL, Honda) grasped his first pole position today, and will go for his first career win tomorrow. The MX2 qualifying races were won by 2006 MX2 World Champion Christophe Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki), and 2006 runner up Antonio Cairoli (ITA, Yamaha).
Team Suzuki will start the 2007 FIM MX1 World Championship with both of their riders, Kevin Strijbos and Steve Ramon - who finished second and third in 2006 - among the favourites for the title.
When the KTM Red Bull Factory team rides out in Valkenswaard for the opening event of the 2007 MX GP season they will do it with an air of confidence, team solidarity and KTM machines that mean they are well equipped for continued success in the sport.
