Stefan Everts won MX1 in Teutschenthal
First GP win for Christophe Pourcel in MX2
Frenchman Christophe Pourcel won in Teutschenthal the first Grand Prix of his young career with a double win in the MX2 class, while Stefan Everts got his 91th win. New Zealander Katherine Prumm won the first round of the FIM Women’s World Cup during a successful Grand Prix of Germany, followed by a huge crowd under perfect conditions in Teutschenthal for a sunny event (27°C).
Being off the track since the first GP, I feel it is time for me to step up and inform you all on my current situation and what my close future looks like.
Sebastien Tortelli faces a two month pause after his serious fall during the MX1-Grand Prix in Portugal. But despite his injury, the factory rider has still expressed confidence after the first world championship race and is looking forward to his comeback.
Yves Demaria claimed his third consecutive win in the third round of the MX3 World Championship, in Cingoli (Motoclub A. Fagioli). On a typical Italian track, really demanding for the tyres the Frenchman got the overall win with a third and a first place, beating Swiss Marc Ristori and Italian Enrico Oddenino. Sven Breugelmans took bad starts and ended the second moto with a “slick” tyre, finishing both races in fifth position. Demaria is leading the series by 26 points over his teammate who is now tight in the points with Oddenino and Ristori.
Stefan Everts and Tyla Rattray both captured in Portugal (Ginásio Clube de Águeda) their third consecutive win, and are strongly leading now their respective class. Unfortunately Sébastien Tortelli got injured during the second heat MX1, and could miss a few races with a dislocated femur.
