Rattray-Cairoli wrestle set for Portuguese GP
It was a great opening day in Agueda, the host of the third Grand Prix of 2008 which welcomed the Motocross collective with very hot weather conditions. Sebastien Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki) clocked a stunning pole position in the MX1 class, collecting his second consecutive Lovemytime Pole Position Award after his first pole of 2008 in Spain last weekend.

Ramon takes maiden MX1 win at rain hit Bellpuig
Yesterday the Spanish Grand Prix was one of the toughest races ever seen by the MX circus; it started to rain in the middle of the night and it carried on during the entire day, making the competition even tougher than it would have been. On a very wet and muddy course, Steve Ramon took his first career MX1 class victory while Davide Guarneri sealed his second MX2 GP win. A strong Toine van Dijk won the opening round of the FIM Veterans MX World Cup.

Sebastien Pourcel brings home Spanish GP pole
The qualifying session of this second Grand Prix of the season in Bellpuig took place on a dry course despite the expected rain. Frenchman Sebastien Pourcel took pole in the MX1 class, handing the Green Team their third consecutive qualifying success in Bellpuig after the 2006 and 2007 poles from Tanel Leok.

Frenchman Sebastien Pourcel took victory at home Castelnau
The second event for FIM MX3 World Championship took place in Castelnau de Levis, France. 1,805 metre long race track called Puech Rampant had brought the biggest success to home French riders. They were the fastest during Saturday’s Qualifying Practice. On Sunday they were continuing with good riding in front of nearly ten thousand spectators.

MX3 World Championship in Talavera de la Reina (ESP) - Results |
Allier and Butron win round one in Talavera
It was a great beginning of FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX2 European Championship in Talavera de la Reina this weekend. The sun was shining all the weekend and 129 riders were participating the first event this season. About ten thousand spectators and the organizer MC Talavera were also very satisfied with the event. Only lots of injuries on a very hard race track were giving a grey shadow to the event, that was successful anyway.

Ken de Dycker and Tyla Rattray dominate first Grand Prix
The opening Grand Prix of the 2008 season at Valkenswaard, being visited by 26000 fans during this first weekend of April, run under good weather conditions despite the negative weather forecast, though the track was not completely dry and made today’s races a tough test for the riders.

De Dycker, Rattray and Searle solid at day one
Finally the action started yesterday on the Eurocircuit at Valkenswaard, the host of the first Motocross GP of the 2008 campaign. It was a first rainy day, with showers from the mid morning until the beginning of the afternoon, leaving the sandy track quite wet. Ken de Dycker took the pole as he did last year in much drier conditions, while team mates Tyla Rattray and Tommy Searle won the MX2 qualifying heats.

Last Saturday the IFMXF season started with the Suzuki NIGHT of the JUMPs and the first contest of the FIM Freestyle MX World Championship 2008. A totally sold out Tipsport Arena in Liberec (CZE) welcomed 12 Freestyle Motocross riders out of nine nations. And the season opening delivered a lot new faces.
