Tanel Leok poles while Steve Ramon looks forward to tomorrow's Title chase
The FIM Motocross World Championship riders took their first steps on the sandy De Herselse Bossen today on a dry surface. Tanel Leok (EST, Kawasaki) conquered another pole in the MX1 class, improving on the difficult qualifying of last year, when the Estonian finished only seventh fastest. Current leader Steve Ramon (BEL, Suzuki) was third fastest.
Youthstream and MSA (Motorsport South Africa) have signed a five year agreement starting from 2008 until 2012, for the organization of the FIM Grand Prix of South Africa, to be held at Alkmaar Raceway, near Nelspruit.
This incredible FOX FIM Grand Prix of Great Britain finished with the unexpected but brilliant overall victory of Antonio Cairoli (ITA, Yamaha). The Italian raced his first GP in the MX1 class, after he had secured his second MX2 World Title last weekend at Moneyglass, and won right away on the brand new track of Donington Park.
