MX3 World Championship in Plomion (FRA) - Results |
First victory for Sven Breugelmans
It was a wonderful event for FIM MX3 World Championship in France this weekend. The winner of the fourth event was Belgian Sven Breugelmans (KTM), who spoiled the pleasure of more than 13,000 French fans, while home rider Thomas Allier (Husqvarna) was leading after the first race. The weather was very hot and sunny all the weekend. Riders were competing in hard conditions. The race track was hard with many of sharp stones.

Italy hosted the third FIM MX3 World Championship event this weekend. It was a sunny event, that brought the biggest success to the home rider Cristian Beggi from Honda Martin Racing Team.

Pourcel and Cairoli win Portuguese thriller
The Portuguese Grand Prix got underway yesterday in front of 18,000 fans who saw two Italians David Philippaerts (MX1) and Antonio Cairoli (MX2) clinch the World Championship lead at the end of an eventful weekend. The MX1 Grand Prix was won by Sebastien Pourcel (FRA), to close a perfect weekend as he clocked also the pole on Saturday.

Rattray-Cairoli wrestle set for Portuguese GP
It was a great opening day in Agueda, the host of the third Grand Prix of 2008 which welcomed the Motocross collective with very hot weather conditions. Sebastien Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki) clocked a stunning pole position in the MX1 class, collecting his second consecutive Lovemytime Pole Position Award after his first pole of 2008 in Spain last weekend.

Ramon takes maiden MX1 win at rain hit Bellpuig
Yesterday the Spanish Grand Prix was one of the toughest races ever seen by the MX circus; it started to rain in the middle of the night and it carried on during the entire day, making the competition even tougher than it would have been. On a very wet and muddy course, Steve Ramon took his first career MX1 class victory while Davide Guarneri sealed his second MX2 GP win. A strong Toine van Dijk won the opening round of the FIM Veterans MX World Cup.
