James Stewart captures AMA Motocross Championship season finale at Glen Helen / Ricky Carmichael injured
On a day that was supposed to celebrate the final full season of competition for Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki), it was James Stewart (Kawasaki) that stole the thunder as he took advantage of an injury to Carmichael to capture the Toyota AMA Motocross Championship season finale at yesterday’s Giant RV Glen Helen National. Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) was the AMA Motocross Lites winner and clinched the season championship.

Ricky Carmichael flies to 9th win of the season at Steel City
Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) put on another riding clinic last Sunday in capturing his ninth win of the season at the Monster Energy/Kawasaki Steel City National, round 11 of the 12-race Toyota AMA Motocross Championship. Broc Hepler (Suzuki) picked up his third straight AMA Motocross Lites overall win.

Ricky Carmichael wins at Binghamton and clinches Title
Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) stamped another successful championship season in winning today's Xyience Broome-Tioga National, round 10 of the 12-race Toyota Championship, presented by FMF. With the win, Carmichael wrapped up the AMA Motocross championship with two races remaining and pushed his career total to a record 10 consecutive titles dating back to his rookie year in 1997. Broc Hepler (Suzuki) was the AMA Motocross Lites winner.

This weekend's round of AMA Toyota National racing at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, MN started off with great weather, but ended with severe rain and a muddy track that was difficult to even navigate around, let alone race on. Of course, the soggy conditions did nothing to stop Team Makita Suzuki's Ricky Carmichael on his way to padding his points lead in the premier MX division even further, as RC posted 1-1 results in the nasty conditions.

Stewart returns to the top of the podium with Washougal win
James Stewart (Kawasaki) took advantage of a late-race crash by Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) in the second moto to win before a crowd of 27,442 at the Unbound Energy National at Washougal Motocross Park, round eight of the 12-race Toyota AMA Motocross Championship. Andrew Short (Honda) was the AMA Motocross Lites winner.
