04.01.2008 A.S.O. cancels the 2008 edition of the Dakar rally
After different exchanges with the French government - in particular the Ministry for Foreign Affairs - , and based on their firm recommendations, the organisers of the Dakar (A.S.O. - Amaury Sport Organisation) have taken the decision to cancel the 2008 edition of the rally, scheduled from the 5th to the 20th of January between Lisbon and Senegal's capital.

AMU Baja - A Top Class Event

On Saturday, 12 May 2007, the Enduro working committee of the Windhoek Moto-cross club held the 2007 AMU Baja Enduro event. 68 Riders from Namibia, Zambia and South Africa entered and scrutineering was done on Friday evening. The race started at 08:30 with Darryl Curtis (SA) on his KTM. David Reeve from Zambia and Ingo Waldschmidt from Namibia, both on KTM’s followed in one minute intervals.
