The reigning Open-Class Champion Ronnie Adams on his Jägermeister-Suzuki informed me of a back injury that he is hampered by, but Ronny is definately out to defend his title. His biggest competition is expected from Honda’s newly signed rider Rainer Becker.

We’ve also seen Fanie Steenkamp on his newly aquired Honda-Quad. Björn Bierbrauer was out there on his new Yamaha, Wolfgang Rohe is back in "Green". Mark Sternagel remains with KTM and left a very fast impression. Angolan Jose Texeira is back again on his KTM. Many ladies-quads joined the fun.

We must congratulate Jaco Muller and his men from the Okahandja MX Club for a track well done, if the watersystem runs in the near future, this track will be one of the best in the country.
On this first meet in 2008 we were informed that Yaugeni Tyletzky (Belorussia) from the German Bodo Schmidt Team will arrive soon to do his preparations for the 2008 world Championship onslaught. He will also participate in the first Namibian Championship race on 16. February.
