AB Construction - Team The Netherlands

Andreas Brendel, proprietor at AB Construction, has himself a Flattrack, Motocross and Enduro background, therefore he fully understood the situation when Dutchman Mart de Jong required some assistance to race again in Namibia. Andreas offered him his bike as well as accomodation.
In 2003 Mart came to Namibia to "check it out"! Well it was a highlight on both race days, when dutchman Mart chased GP-rider Tyla Rattray relentlessly around the Gallina Moto Cross Park! Mart finished 2nd overall in the 125cc Class. The following year 2004 he started in the Open-Class and again surprised friends and foes alike with his third place on the rostrum behind mx-aces like Avo Leok (EST) and Carter Gurnee (USA)!
Mart started racing in 1990 in the 80cc Class. In 1995 Mart raced the Dutch Championships 125cc Class and finished that year in 8th place. In 1998, because he grew so tall, he switched over to the 250cc Class and came 10th overall.

The year after Mart raced the German Championships 125cc Class and came 14th overall. During the year 2000 he only participated in the German DAM-Championships where he came second in the 125cc Class and 3rd in the Open-Class. 2002 was again a very good year for him with winning the DAM-Championships in both Classes and he finished the German Championships 125cc in 6th spot.
In 2003 Mart won again the DAM-Championships 125cc and he came fourth in the German Championships 125cc with 101 points, one point ahead of Daniel Siegl. In 2004 he repeated the same feat and won the German DAM-Championships 125cc Class. In 2005 Mart only raced the German Championships of the DMSB and finsihed 10th in the 125cc category.
2006 was the worst season he ever experienced! Crashes and technical problems did not help to boost confidence. Therefore his eyes are set to win the 2006 Air Namibia Inter-Series!
