Namibia Construction - Angola Team
This year, for the 5th time, the Provincial Motorbike Association Benguela (Angola) confirmed that 2 of their best MX-Riders wish to partcipate at the "Inter-Series” in Windhoek. Namibia Construction, the reputable partner in the Building Industry, took over the patronage for Angola. Namibia Construction was instrumental in building the Kiddies-track in the beginning of the year 2006. For the past 4 years Namibia Construction is always lending a helping hand, when support is needed.
The Angolans will start under the official name "Namibia Construction - Angola Team".
The Captain in the Team from our northern neigbours is Jose Carlos Teixeiro and is known in his native country as "Ze Commando". Jose started racing in Portugal aboard a CASAL "Boss" 50ccm. He won the Regional Championships "Azenhas do Mar" in the year 1986/87 and 1988. At the same time he finished 7th at the State-Championship.

Afterwards his parents moved to Angola and it took until 1994 when the MX-Bug bit him again. It was this year, when he finished 8th in the Angolan Championships.
In 2001 he bought himself a Yamaha YZ 125 and is racing mainly in Off-Road events. Jose is 3-time winner in the "RAID of Benguela", a triumph to boast about. In Namibia Ze Commando represents Angola for the 6th consecutive year already with mixed results. Since 2005 he participates regularly at the Namibian “Nationals”!
Jose will be accompanied by Angolan mx-legend Narciso Jose who is winning most events in the moment and is riding for the Yamaha-Factory in Angola. Third rider will be Tadi Filomeno who is not only known as mx-rider but also well known as leader in the quad-championship in Luanda. A rider that only returned recently back to mx, after a long stint of road-racing, is Rui Vuty. Vuty had some very good results this season and he is seen as the most talented rider in Angola.
