Countdown towards Red Bull MX Classic
The countdown for the 2007 Inter-Series has begun and the Windhoek Moto Cross Club is proud to announce that top-riders from Europe and southern Africa will race this year at the "Red Bull" Inter-Series, sponsored by Jägermeister, Camel and of course Red Bull!
The latest entry came from Botswana, Calvin Collington signing a contract. In the Open/ 125cc Class, which get started together, there will be a line-up of riders from Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Angola and of course host country Namibia. There will be some favourites like Andre Nel and Geoff Den (South Africa), Gunnar Schuster (Germany) and of course Ross Branch from Botswana, but there will be also US-Boy Carter Gurnee who raced previously in Namibia and always left a strong impression.
All National Classes will race plus there will be international Quad-Bike Racing with participants from Angola, Botswana and South Africa. On November 3rd, after the prize-giving, the F & H Freestyle-Show gets started with some of Europes best Freestylers like world-championship runner-up Libor Podmol from the Czech Republic showing us some daredevil aerobatics. His specialities are 1-Hand-Take-Of to Seatgrab Indian Air, Tsunami, No-Hand Flip, Flintstone, 1-Hand Flip, Rock Solid Indian Air, Whip Flip, Cordova Flip, and a highlight Cliffhanger to No-Hand-Landing.
After the F & H Freestyle Show the Jägermeister Party with DJ-Coco will hammmer it out!

This year Red Bull became main-sponsor of the 1st international MX-Meeting which will be held under the official name of "Red Bull MX Classic". The most crazy sport on two wheels is and remains Motocross! Thousands of young fans flock annually to the Gallina Moto Cross Park to watch insanity pure! All this and more will happen at the Gallina Moto Cross Park, 15 kilometers outside of Windhoek, on the road towards Okahandja … the biggest Show in Namibia over two weekends! |
