E-MED Team - The Netherlands
E-MED has got a very long relationship with the WMCC and it is their specially skilled paramedics who quickly assist in case of a crash. A scenario we can do without!
Number One in the Dutch-Team, Boyd Karsmakers left a great impression in his first appearance in Namibia in 2000, as a Racer and a Man and he was very popular amongst the fans. In 2001 he impressed even more by winning the "Open Namibian Champion" title.
Mart de Jong (NED) & Boyd Karsmakers (NED)

The highlight of his 2000 season was his nomination to participate for Team Netherlands at the European Team Championships in the Czech Republik where his Team finished third, ahead of Team Germany.
In 2002 Boyd switched over to German Kölling Yamaha Team. He could not fulfill his own expectations to make it into the Top-20 in the European Championships and in the tough German Open Championships Boyd finished in 9th spot overall.
In 2003 he raced for TvE-Sport-Suzuki, again with mixed results due to work-commitments and Boyd finished the 2003 season in 14th spot in the Dutch Open Moto Cross Championships. The year after Boyd ocused mainly on his professional career and only raced some "Regionals", just to keep race-fit. In 2005 Boyd finished overall third in the Namibian Inter-Series, highlight of this Series was his wedding on the "Table" at Gallina, right after the King of the Dirt. Unforgettable!
The 2nd “Flying-Dutchman” is Mart de Jong. Mart started racing in 1990 in the 80cc Class. In 1995 Mart raced the Dutch Championships 125cc Class and finished that year in 8th place. In 1998 , because he grew so tall, he moved over to the 250cc Class and finished 10th overall. The year after Mart raced the German Championships 125cc Class and came 14th overall.
Mart de Jong (NED) vs. Gurnee (USA)
During the year 2000 he only participated in the German DAM-Championships where he finished second in the 125cc Class and 3rd in the Open-Class. 2002 was again a very good year for him by winning the DAM-Championships in both Classes and he finished the German Championships 125cc in 6th spot. In 2003 Mart won again the DAM-Championships 125cc and he came fourth in the German Championships 125cc with 101 points, one point ahead of Daniel Siegl. In 2004 Mart finished in 3rd overall at the Namibian Inter-Series.
2005 was the year when he participated for the first time in the MX-3 Worldchampionships, gaining some experience on this high level of racing and earning 5 points in total. The following year 2006 Mart wants to forget quickly, a terrible crash at the season-opener left him with a damaged liver and milt and thus the season was over, before it even began! Mart could not find a team for 2007 and raced sporadically as finances allowed. Therefore Mart is extremly keen to win the 2007 Inter-Series! A feat he’s definitely capable of.
