22.10.2008 Moto Cross Inter-Series 2008: Quads4Fun - Team France
Pierre Alexandre "Pela" Renet was born on October 2nd 1984 in Cherbourg (France). Coming from a country that traditionally brims with motocross talent, "Pela" Renet had a tough, but useful grounding.

He was a top contender in European- and French Championship racing as a junior, and made the move to GP racing in 2005. He finished 24th in his first year in the world series. At the end of 2006, he finished second in the prestigious Supercross of Bercy, in front of 45 000 crazed fans over the course of the weekend. After being selected to participate for France in the 2007 Motocross of Nations, the so-called Olympics of Motocross, Pela put his best foot forward, and helped his country to second overall at Budd’s Creek in the USA. He impressed the American team managers, but opted instead to return to the GP series in Europe.
Unfortunately, the friendly young man sustained a serious injury at the supercross of Bercy in November 2007, breaking his femur, and jeopardising his preparation for the 2008 season. He was ready in time for the season, but with precious little time on the bike, he had to adjust first before he could get back up to speed. He sustained another injury in the form of a broken thumb at the GP of Germany, which kept him out of action for another 7 weeks.

So the 2008 season was nothing to boast about, nevertheless Bodo Schmidt of the TEKA Bodo Schmidt Suzuki Team believes in Pela and gave him a contract for 2009. So Pela will honour that trust by winning the "International Namibian Champion" title. On his first "Namibia International Champion" title-chase, Pela gets sponsored by Messrs Quads4Fun.
