For the 8th time already hardcore MX-Freestyle is part of the annual Motocross Inter-Series. The most crazy sport on two wheels is and remains "MX-Freestyle"! In 2000 already the WMCC acted as trend-setter and offered the first international "Freestyle Show" on the African continent, it was kind of adding some spice to pep up the Inter-Series! And it worked like a bomb!
Thousands of young fans flock annually to the Gallina Moto Cross Park to watch insanity pure! On November 8th, after the prize-giving, the Shell Helix Gladiator Freestyle Show gets started with some of South Africa’s best Freestylers, like IFMXF World Cup competitor Werner van der Merwe, showing us some daredevil aerobatics! His specialities are: Tsunami, Superman, Rock Solid Indian Air, Nofoot CanCan, Ruler-Tsunami, and a highlight his Longdistance-Backflip. Werner finsihed at the IFMXF Worldcup in Salzburg (Austria) in a solid 11th position.
The second guy in line is Hein Fick, the renowned Freestyler from Gauteng. What he can do on a bike is just amazing. He does all the classics, like Cliffhanger, Cordova, Barhop, Hartattack, Tsunami you name it. The crowd will love him!
The WMCC will stage the Shell Helix Gladiator Freestyle Show, as usual, under floodlight. Some light-effects plus the typical Fresstyle Sound are part of such a weird Air-Show. Ronnie Adams, who is building the Freestyle-Ramp at Gallina, is busy to extend the landing-ramp in order the riders get more "Air-Time". More airtime means, the tricks can be performed more precise and it gives the riders more time to perform 2 or even 3 tricks during one jump! It will be of no help if I start and try to explain what a "Superman, Seatgrab-Indian-Style" is, you must come and witness it for yourself!
Don't forget the Shell Helix Gladiator Freestyle Show on November 8th and November 15th, in the evening at about 8:30 p.m. at Gallina Moto Cross Park.
