Bike & Quad Clinic - Botswana Team

Bike & Quad Clinic, Namibia’s biggst motorcycle Accessory stockists have taken the visiting Team Botswana under its wing. Not only will proprietor Paul Loots sponsor the youngsters from Botswana, but at the same time he is sponsoring the visiting Quad-Team from South Africa. Very commendable!
Carr Lebata and Ross Branch
Carr Lebata and Ross Branch
Botswana will be represented by a youngster who already shone at previous Inter-Series when he won the 85cc Class in 2001, when he skillfully demonstrated his guts by winning the 2002 Inter-Series 125cc Class, when he became "AMU Africa 125cc Champion" in 2003, and he repeated that feat in 2005 and all that at his beloved Gallina Motocross Park.
Ross Branch
Ross Branch
Ross Branch was born on 5th May 1986. He started racing in 1994. In 1997 Ross participated in the Gauteng-Championship and finished as runner-up. 2001 was also a good year, in the AMU Championship in Pietermaritzburg he finished in 3rd position, he also came third in the South African Championships and he won the Botswana-Championship with 21 wins in 21 races! In 2002 he won again the Botswana-Championship and finished 3rd in the AMU-Africa Championships in Kenya. In 2003 Ross was signed by the German Bodo Schmidt Team in the pits at Gallina and raced the 2004 season in Germany with mixed results, winning the Deutsche Moto Cross Pokal (Group South). The year after he raced for the Pfeil Kawasaki Team in Germany, again with mixed results, many crashes and some misfortune. For 2006 he was signed by the German EBS-Sturm Team, before he returned back to Botswana for good. In the Namibian Inter-Series Ross finished that same year as runner-up, behind German Benny Kolberg. 2007 was a very good year for Ross, he won (out of contention though) the Namibian Motocross Championships 125cc Class, he finished 3rd overall in the South African Championships 125cc Class and he became AMU 125cc Champion in Nairobi / Kenya. At the Namibian Inter-Series Ross finished once more as runner-up. 2008 has shown some mixed fortunes in the SA Championships due to a broken wrist.
Nevertheless he finished overall third in the SA-Championships. Ross excelled at the South African GP 2008 by winning two points. In Namibia he finished 2nd that same year at the Inter-Series. In 2009, riding for Badboy Honda and Wreckers, Ross became Full Throttle AMU-Champion and he finished the SA-Championship season in 5th spot in the MX1 Class and he became runner-up in the MX2 Class.
The 2nd rider in the Bike & Quad Clinic - Team Botswana is Carr Lebatha. Unfortunately by the time going to press, there was still no rider-profile of “Black Pearl” Carr available. We hear that he is very talented. He participates successfully in Botswana with some Top-3 results, he managed some Top-10 results in South Africa and he tried his luck in an Namibian National in 2007 , in Gobabis, where he finished in an excellent 5th overall. In the Moscow International in Russia, in 2007, Carr finished in a good 15th spot. At the 2007 Inter-Series he crashed out in his first outing. In 2009 Carr raced a full season in South Africa and finished 19th overall.
These riders can be watched at the 1st Leg of the 2009 Motocross Inter-Series on 7th November at the Coastal Cement Works Racetrack and a week later, on 14th November at Gallina Motocross Park, just outside of Windhoek.
