On Saturday 29th July we raced the club event held at zone 7. The day started hectic with Daniels bike giving trouble because of a damaged barrel. Luckily we still had an old spare one that would do for the day. After delays caused by the fog we started our practice filled with mud and water. Luckily all the traffic dried the muddy track and we ended with awesome raceconditions.
1st Heat started with the holeshot again going to Erhard Pajewski, Daniels start was horrible.
Matt Geldenhuys on his Bigwheel Yamaha soon pasted Erhard who was then chased by Calvin Vlaanderen for the next 12 minutes. In the second last lap Calvin managed to pass Erhard who by now was struggling with armpumps. Due to the enourmous race pace the two of them where going. Daniel had also cought up to Chad Curry and Bernard Haupt (both on Bigwheels) who again where an end behind Calvin and Erhard.

2nd Heat gave Daniel Pajewski the chance to show his older brother what he is made off.
Holes-hot went to Daniel and this time Erhard had a terrible start. Daniel was also to pass his lead over to Matt like his brother in the earlier race chased by Calvin. After a hot pursuit Calvin managed to trick Daniel and took over the lead in the 85 Jnr’s (second overall behind Matt). This followed by the most exciting racing witnessed this season.
Daniel, the fighter he is known to be, was not to give this triumph to his opponent and he managed to pass Calvin when they passed a Lapper over the big step–up. Side by side they jumped the 24m tabletop the doubles and then he got the better of Calvin. This battle carried on for the next 3 laps with Calvin passing Daniel and Daniel passing Calvin at numerous occasions, until it happened...
 Daniel Pajewski & Calvin Vlaanderen
Second last lap, Daniels is having trouble changing his gears until he comes to a stand-still after being passed by Calvin. The YZ gearbox was the looser in this battle. Daniel was devastated, so where the spectators ... what a disappointing end after such an exciting race.
I pushed Daniel through the finishline to give him a racefinish. Erhard had also given his best and had managed to catch up to the lead, and ended close behind Chad Curry, who could not manage to stick with the pase of Calvin and Daniel.
