Hi Everyone,
sorry for my silence the last few weeks but since the worldchapionship in Finland, I went through a real bad luck scene. In Finland I qualified in 17th position in my class and was very happy because there were some really fast guys.
In the first heat I was in 20th position when my shock collapsed and I had a dnf and in the second heat I was comfortably in 12th position when my engine died with electrical problems so I had a very disappointing weekend.
The next weekend we raced in Austria the ADAC Masters Series and I again had a dnf because of rain and my bike stopped. In the second heat the race was cancelled while I was in 7th position because of extreme mud. Then in Holzgerlingen I was haunted with crashes and could only finish in 14th position.

This last weekend was my weekend. This was the final round of the DM (national) in Rudersberg my home track. Free practice was good as I had similar speeds as Dennis Baudrexl. In qualifying I clipped a step up had had quite a spectacular crash and decided to go a bit slower afterwards and then I went into the mechanics area to rest a while. With two minutes to go I went out again and qualified in 6th position.
In heat one I came out in second position after the start but I then chose a wrong line and two guys passed me. From here on I had a wonderful dice with Ron Noffz as we passed each other several times. In the last lap I rode over the track bunting which then got tangled up in my rear wheel and damaged my brake and I lost my 4th to Domenique Thury and had to settle for 5th.

Heat 2 I again had a good start 2nd and was pushed very hard by Domenique who eventually passed me. While we were dicing, we then pulled a gap from the rest of the field and I held this position to the end. With a 5th and a 3rd I was overall 3rd which was my best result this season . Ron Noffz ended 7th in heat 2 but this position was enough to clinch the German Championship. Congratulations Ron.
Greets Björn
