The 2007 season is about to start with the first National event to be held in Windhoek next weekend.
Zenner Racing’s team this year will be made up of the same two riders as for the 2006 season.
In the Open Class, Tommy Gous will for the 4th year, be the senior rider in the team. Tommy however left for Germany last night where he will be working for EE Suspension, a company specializing in motocross suspension. The company has been contracted by a German based motocross team to develop and maintain their suspension for this season. Tommy will be working closely with this team and will hopefully bring all the acquired suspension knowledge back to Namibia at the end of the year.
While in Germany, he will enter North German Championship races and maybe even return back to Namibia to compete in a few races. He will definitely be back to compete on his YZF450 at the Inter Series towards the end of the year.
Matthew will be competing in the 65cc Class both in Namibia and South Africa. After a successful 2006 season in the 50cc Class, he is eager to get going in this new class. Although he could still compete at all the AMU (African Motorcycle Union) events in the 50cc Class, we decided to place all our focus on the 65cc Class. Training started already last year and Matt is ready and good shape to tackle the 65cc Class.
Zenner Racing has once again the support of various sponsors and would like to thank each and all for their confidence in the team. The team has always excelled and can assure all that this will again be the case this year.
The team would also like to wish the Windhoek Moto Cross Club and all the competitors a successful motocross season.
