20.11.2007 AIRWASTL-News from Busty "Airwastl" Wolter (GER)
Hello,

last week I was down in Spain at André Villas Suzuki FMX Park for some practice and also some filming with Rebel-Media for TV-shows and the upcoming Movie Night of Actionsport (coming to a cinema near you soon).
The week was succesful since we got a lot of sick perspectives and shots. As a little surprise to myself (and everybody else) I succesfully flipped my first dirt takeoff. André and me were just sessioning it and I had no plan on flipping it. Flipping a dirtlip was more a "would be cool to have it done once in your life, but it is not THAT important"-thing for me. But the jump felt pretty good and so I took three straight jumps to get a better feeling and then went for it without telling anybody (I just threw some signs to Andrés girlfriend Micha to start filming before approaching the jump). You can check a short clip of the
flip at www.youtube.com.

Straight from Spain I was flying back into the snow that was coming down in Germany since the IFMXF contest in Mannheim was on my schedule. With riders as Ailo Gaup, Mat Rebeaud, André Villa, Remi Bizouard and Libor Podmol in the riderslist there was pretty much one spot left in the final if none of them would mess up their qualification. I felt good from the very first practice and rode myself into the final. In the final I did a new personal (negative) record by messing up all three flipcombos... but it didn‘t really matter to me since the rest of the run was good. I finished in 6th position and for sure had the crowd on my side as well.
I received a copy of the DaBoot DVD "The other Italians", which is pretty sweet. I have a nice part in the "the other Europeans" segment, so go and check it out.
For now I am not on the riderslist for the Night of the Jumps in Katowitz, I don‘t know if it is because the guys in Poland don‘t like old riders who put on a good show besides riding good enough to make it in a worldchampionship final. But the IFMXF is trying to get me in for this weekend...
The first weekend in december is the big Supercross in Geneva / Switzerland with a great riderlineup for the FMX-show, afterwards I will be in Dubai to judge at the Dubai X-Games. Coming back from the heat I will go straight to the Suzuki Snowcamp for some fourwheel-action before heading to the SupercrossOver in Munich. My last event of the year will be Jimmy Verburghs Invitational "Rock‘n‘Ride" in Gent/Belgium, that will be rockin‘ and full of fun for sure!
And then it is pretty much X-Mas and holiday-time!!!
Have fun,
Busty
