With the Moto Cross season that started last weekend on the sandy Gallina MX Track, the Honda Muxima Racing team presented their line up in the El Portuga Restaurant in Klein Windheok on Tuersday evening the 26th of february. With succefull racing results during the 2008 season, Team Manager Jose Teixeira is confident that his Team will make headlines this year and that a lot can be expected from his riders.

Honda Pupkewitz supplied the Team with two new Honda 250F Bikes. Team Manager Jose handed one Bike to Brannigan Wise who finished second in the 250cc class last year. Bjoern Bierbrauer who joind the Honda Muxima Racing Team beginning of the 2009 season received the second Honda 250F. Bjoern was competing for the last 3 years in the German Moto Cross Championship and was riding for the Koelling Yamaha Team. Bjoern is now back in Namibia to finish his schooling and obviously to win the Namibian Moto Cross Championship title. Henry O’Kennedy and Ruhan Gous are also very motivated for the new season and great riding can be expected from these two young riders.

The youngest rider of the team Joshua Texeira also said that he will ride full speed this year and that he wants to earn some podium positions in the MX Lights Class (formerly known as 85cc Class).

In the first race this season on 28 February 2009, the team dominated the raceday, and won the first two positions in the MX 2 championchip. Bjoern Bierbrauer came first in the MX 2 class and Brannigan Wise ranked second. In the Wesbank King of the Dirt Bierbrauer won this gruelling race while Henry O’ Kennedy and Ruhan Gous took position 6 and 7. Jose Teixeira chased his riders from the back and finished in the King of the Dirt in excellent 9th position. For this 1st race in Gallina Motocross Park Honda Muxima Racing team invited 3 Honda riders from the Angolan Securitas Team. The riders are Tadi Filomeno, Jandir Talaia and Narciso Jose’ who showed gread riding. The three proud Angolan riders were very impressed by the team that Jose has founded, the organisation of the event from the Windhoek Moto Cross Club as well as the excellent build Moto Cross track. The Angolan Securitas Team will show their faces again this year for another moto cross race in Namibia.

The Honda Muxima Racing team is very excited about the 2009 Moto Cross season, and with the new Bikes, racing gear, wheels and oils the riders received from their Team Manager, you are going to see young, fast and enthusiastic moto cross riding from Honda Muxima racing team.
