It has been raining until Thursday in Bellpuig, but the weather forecast is positive for tomorrow.
Sunday should be sunny, and packed with Motocross action that is supposed to start at 9.00 am. The new official timetable will be released at 5.00 pm today.
The Grand Prix of Spain will be an interesting challenge for home rider Jonathan Barragan (ESP, KTM) of the KTM Red Bull Racing team. The Spaniard will chase Joshua Coppins (NZL, Yamaha) for the Championship lead, but both rivals have to watch out from a very motivated Suzuki factory team, with Kevin Strijbos (BEL, Suzuki) and Steve Ramon (BEL, Suzuki).
In the MX2 class, current leader Antonio Cairoli (ITA, Yamaha) is ready to squeeze his De Carli Yamaha, and increase his advantage over runner up Tyla Rattray (RSA, KTM). But Kawasaki’s Gareth Swanepoel (RSA, Kawasaki) and defending Champion Christophe Pourcel (FRA, Kawasaki) will not let the two go away so easily.
