23.04.2007 MX3 World Championship in Talavera de la Reina (ESP) - Results

Sven Breugelmans gets first win of 2007

The 3rd round of the FIM MX3 Motocross World Championship in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, saw Belgian Sven Breugelmans (BEL, KTM) clinch his first victory of 2007. Alvaro Lozano (ESP, KTM) was second overall, ahead of a very consistent Christophe Martin (FRA, KTM).
In the opening moto, Breugelmans had a very nice pace, and left home rider Alvaro Lozano in second, more than eight seconds behind. Last round’s winner Benjamin Coisy (FRA, Honda) was third, ahead of Christophe Martin, who settled for a safe fourth place. Martin Zerava (CZE, Honda) ended the top five.
In the final moto, Breugelmans stormed to another victory, leaving Jussi Vehvilainen (FIN, Honda) in second place, with a six seconds gap. The Finn left Lozano behind in third, as Christophe Martin clinched another fourth place. Adrian Garrido Gago (ESP, Honda) completed the top five.

The standings changed a lot from the Spanish round, and now Breugelmans is first, followed by Martin, in second place. Benjamin Coisy holds a solid third, ahead of Jussi Vehvilainen. Ex leader Yves Demaria (FRA, Yamaha) is now fifth, after a disappointing third round.
