Yves Demaria wins home event in Brou
Frenchman Yves Demaria (FRA, Yamaha) was looking forward to this fifth round of the series in Brou, France, to make up some ground on series leader Sven Breugelmans (BEL, KTM). On a wet track, the KTM mounted Belgian arrived second on the podium behind Demaria, winner of the event, who shortened up the gap in the Championship by five points.

Photo by: Youthstream Demaria was fourth in moto one – he crashed - but won the final moto, as the first one was owned by Pierre Alexandre Renet (FRA, Honda), Renet normally races the MX1 World Championship, but did not go to Japan this weekend. He finished fourth overall after a bad final moto, where he crashed at the start.
Benjamin Coisy (FRA, Honda) was more consistent in both heats; he did not clinch any victory, but rode to a safe sixth in moto one, and closed the day with third in moto two. He was third overall.
Kristof Salaets (BEL, Suzuki) completed the top five overall, as Mickael Pichon (FRA, KTM) crashed out in the first heat and did not start the final one. Pichon crashed also yesterday, and hurt his back.
