Yves Demaria took the lead in Championship classification
MX3 World Champhionship is going to finish next weekend. This weekend riders competed in their thirteenth race in Roggenburg, Switzerland. It was quite a nervous race for the best riders. They wanted to get as many points as possible and the best riders made many calculations for the Championship standings. After the first start, the race seemed to be full of surprises. But as race was going to the end, the results were becoming more similar to the ones we saw in the rest of the season. Kristof Salaets (BEL, Suzuki) had the lead for more than a half of the race, but Yves Demaria (FRA, Yamaha) was too strong in the first race and won.
Sven Breugelmans (BEL, KTM) lost his Championship leadership already after the first race. He was "only" fourth. Second race was very bad for Breugelmans again, because his bike broke in the first lap and that could be the end to his World Championship quest.
There is only one more race and Demaria is leading now by 28 points. Demaria was the best in both races and got a double win in Switzerland. Second overall was Kristof Salaets and the third was Saso Kragelj (SLO, Yamaha). That was the third podium for the best Slovenian rider and second for Salaets this season.
