Björn Bierbrauer (NAM, KTM) started on the last weekend with the opening round of the German Youth MX Championships in Bad Salzungen (MSC Kali Bad Salzungen). Björn wrote about this race:

"I had my first race yesterday and it was a total disaster. Mud, mud and more mud. When we got there a tractor had to pull us into the pits and the same when we left last night. We got a used KTM to ride with but this bike had a problem with the carburator and the bike did not perform at all at high reffs. Thus it resulted that I could only qualify in 26th position. My dad and Torsten the man that I stay with then took the carburator apart and we were hoping that the bike would perform. When the first 85 race was supposed to start it started raining very badly and the mud got even worse. In the first race I still had a few problems occasionally and I fell twice and therefore I only came in 16th out of 45. In the second race the bike was ok and I had a reasonable start 6th and I stayed there for a while but then I got problems with the track. In this mud the track got many rutts and I had big problems riding them and lost a few places which I could make up again but then in the last round I had problems with a lapper and I lost one place again thus I only came in 8th. The people with whom I stay Dominique came 3rd overall. I had a good dice with him until the track got that rough."
