16.04.2008 ADAC MX Masters in Fuerstlich Drehna (GER) - Results

Maximilian Nagl wins

In front of 11,500 spectators and at optimal weather conditions Maximilian "Maximum" Nagl (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) secured last weekend the victory in the ADAC MX Masters class. He thus also conquered the incumbent MX1 world's champion Steve Ramon (Teka Suzuki WMX1). The Belgian had been away in the qualification on the day before. The current ADAC MX Masters runner up, the Hungarian Kornel Nemeth (KTM Sarholz Racing), secured third place at the races on the deep sandy track in Fuerstlich Drehna.

Both heats in the ADAC MX Masters Class could have not been more thrillingly. Up to the last round it was unclear who will share the podium with second heat’s leader Max Nagl. Nagl, Ramon and Nemeth already delivered a hot fight in the first heat and continued to do so in the second heat.
Ramon and Nemeth were unlucky and crashed right at the beginning of the second heat. Nagl was lucky this time – he crashed in the first heat. But this time Nagl could move on. He secured himself a comfortable lead and with that a safe victory. Nemeth and Ramon rolled up the field from behind – like Nagl in the first race. In the end they finished second and third.

Max Nagl: "For me this was the perfect Motocross weekend."
Steve Ramon: "The crash in the second heat has taken much time for me. I had to make an effort, but it was quite a terrific race. It was incredibly. I am nevertheless satisfied with my performance and I would still like to take part in another three to four races in the ADAC MX Masters series."
Kornel Nemeth: "Third place is a result I can deal with and I am fully satisfied with. I want and always will give the best I can. But the race was not a piece of cake. And of course I would like to try to become champion this year."
