Slip across the border to Namibia
You do not need…- A Visa – a holiday maker is allowed 90 days in Namibia without a Visa
- Vaccinations – The polio risk of 2006 has passed and there are no other vaccinations legally required
- International driving license – Your RSA and or neighboring countries drivers license is valid
- Namibia dollars – Apart from the levies payable at the border posts, RSA rand is accepted throughout Namibia and all credit cards are welcome
Pack /organize these first – before your kit……- Passport – It must be valid for at least 6 months;
- Vehicle’s papers – Have your vehicles registration papers at hand
- Insurance – Ensure that your Insurance Co is informed
- Border/Custom fees – N$ 140 levy for all passenger vehicles (cars, bakkies, double cabs, kombi’s and busses with fewer than 25 people aboard, N$ 90 per trailer/caravan and/or motorbike. (I am sure on presentation of a letter from your Federation confirming race status will cancel the levy on motorbike’s) NOTE: Payable in N$
- Sticker – Compulsory to have a sticker on your car i.e. SA, BOTS, ZIM etc.
