Message for AMU Baja Championship Programme
When Morocco announced that they would be unable to host this year’s AMU Baja Championship at the AMU Congress held in Marrakech in November 2006, Namibia Motor Sport Federation immediately came to the rescue by confirming that they would host the event.
Competitors enjoy participating in events organised by the Namibia Motor Sport Federation, not only because the events are always well organised, but also because of the tremendous hospitality extended to all competitors by this Federation and there is no doubt that this year’s event will be equally successful.
Today’s event of course also incorporates the second round in the AMU Baja Southern Challenge Series and it is therefore extremely pleasing to see that so many competitors who participated in the successful first round of the Southern Challenge Series hosted by the Zambia Motor Sport Association in March, have also entered this event.
Interest and support for AMU Baja events continue to grow from strength to strength as these events provide a perfect opportunity for riders from the different countries to compete against each other.
On behalf of the AMU, I would like to welcome all competitors, team members and other visitors to Namibia, and to wish all participants an extremely successful, trouble-free and enjoyable event.
AMU also extends its sincere appreciation to Mr Andreas Brendel and all other members from the NMSF Organising Committee for their hard work and efforts – not only for this event, but also promoting enduro racing in Africa.
Beaulah Schoeman
AMU President
