Matthew started racing motocross in 2003 at the age of 4 years.

50cc Namibian Junior Champion (Non-National)
Raced all South African National events in the 50cc Junior class and 50cc PW Class: 1st PW 50 Class in Bloemfontein (National), 2nd PW 80 Class in Bloemfontein (National), 2nd PW 50 Class in Cape Town (National) and 3rd PW 50 Class in Pietermaritzburg (National)
2005:
50cc Namibian Senior National Champion
Raced a few South African National events in the 50cc Junior class, still on a PW50. All events placed 7th or better.
Racing the South African National as well as Regional Championship in the 50cc Senior Class with the aim of an overall top 10 position.
2007:
He still has next year to compete in South Africa in the 50cc Class and his aim is to finish the 2007 season under the top 3 positions in the SA Championship.
He has been invited by the clothing and helmet manufacturer, M2R, to compete in America at the Anaheim 1 & 2 Supercross events in January 2007.
